Hello All,

Hope your morning is as wonderful as mine.

My morning devotional was awesome, This morning I learnt to ask God to use me for anything of his choice, Not what I want but his will.

We often live our lives to please ourselves and our family members or friends, but we NEED to live our lives to please our Lord And Savior. We should put him first.

Put God First in Parenting

As parents we get frustrated when our children act out in a way that is disrespectful and not to our liking, we tend jump to blame ourselves and wonder what we are doing wrong in our parenting world. I trust and believe if we start putting God first everything else including parenting will be easy!

You are a good parent!******

Never sit around beating up yourself saying you’re a bad parent,

Your child may not be well behaved, or an A student or such but you’re not a bad parent,

Your child may not dress as neat and elegant as another parent’s kid but you’re not a bad parent.

Guess what?

Your rush to the school when the teacher calls

You’re up late at night because they have a cold

You rushed with them early on Saturday  Mornings for them to be a their Soccer game on time.

Your prepare dinner every evening and tuck them in their bed at night

You work hard so you can provide the things they need the most.

As parent we often stress but please always talk to someone if you are feeling Depressed or stress about how you are parenting.

We Mamas are here to help each other!!!

Hello friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Yesterday I celebrated my birthday. I just want to honor the Most High God for his grace and mercy in my life.

**********My Prayer to God**************

God you are awesome;

Words are not enough to express the praise you deserve,

But, my God I truly want you to grant to me the grace I need to fear you each and everyday, that I will live my life as one that is a reflection of your son Jesus Christ whom You’ve sent to save us all!

As a blessed mother, you have given me the gift of parenting my children, but Lord I learn from them daily, please give me the ability to be able to listen to their needs and to parent them with love. Thank you God for all you’ve done in my life I truly appreciate you father!

Oh My! preparing my daughter for school

Oh, how my daughter is growing up!

She’s now 4 years old and we are preparing for the first day of school, coming in August.

My daughter is kind and loving, loves to make new friends but she hates to share!

She hugs her games and snacks to herself, I tried teaching her how to share, but is that a lesson to be learned? How can I teach my daughter to share?

My daughter loves her milk and she has a special little cup that she drinks from, she came to me for milk one afternoon and I told her that she will not get milk at school.

She looked at me with a weird face and said “mom I will not get milk at school?

“No baby,” I replied to her, “I don’t want to go to school,” she says.

As handed her the milk she says, “Mom do you know that my teacher can make milk?”

“Really?” I questioned. she shook her head yes and went her way to drink her milk.

Now tell me how do I bring this to her attention?

Or do I bring it to her attention?

I do believe eventually she will understand that school is not home and the privileges she has at home are not the same as school.

You live and you learn right?

Have you ever been faced with any similar challenges? Please share what was done to overcome those.

Love You. Shelly.

Challenges## Life

In life we do face challenges, Challenges can be as simple as playing a game, thinking we have it all figured out until we get to the middle.

Parenting has changed throughout the years, growing up, there are things that your parents did, that you swear you would not do to your children but you do it anyway, that is until it is brought to your attention. There is no right or wrong way to parent, the only wrong way is if you abandoned, abuse or kill your child/children. Love is the key to parenting, if you love your child you will do what is right to help the child mature into the amazing adult he/she needs to be.

Every single child is different, the way they develop is different the way they talk, walk, comprehend things, learn, the things they like are different. It can be that two of your children like the object, but if you pose this question to them, ” what do you like about it?” their answers will be different the purpose of the object in each of their sights is different, even though it is the same object.

For Example, I have twin boys! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME! Everything about them is different, when I started teaching my boys from a young age their ABCs I noticed that Jaheim which is the oldest (1 minute older, this means a lot to him) would not catch on I would have to go over the ABCs several times for him to get it. Jaden, on the other hand, he just needs to hear it one time and he would get it. He was quick. The next day I would go back and ask the boy to say their ABCs, Jaheim who was unable to catch on would be the one to know it and Jaden wouldn’t remember it much I would have to go over it with him again. So Jaden was quick at learning but unable to retain what he learns and Jaheim was slow at learning but when he gets it he remembers it.

So don’t be quick to discipline and judge your children, study their actions, likes and dislikes. Another example is food, when my boys were young they would not eat a complete hot dog, Jaheim would eat the sausage because that’s the part he likes and Jaden would eat the bread because that the part he likes. Now, it’s the total opposite! When Kids are born into this world it is a strange place for them, and we are here as their parents to help them figure it all out.

We must do this with love.

Parenting to the top

Hello to all my beautiful parents, Moms and Dads, whether you are adopted parents, biological parents or single parents, We are all parents! It is difficult at times to understand our children but one thing we need to know they are apart of us!

The best thing we can do is love them……., love them as we love ourselves, what you don’t want for yourselves don’t give it to them. Don’t pressure them because your parents pressured you, you know you did not like it. Don’t do it because they do not like it.

Listen to them… When your children want to have a conversation sit and listen, just ask questions that can help you understand the point they are trying to put across. Choose your own time to have conversation with them about your concerns, not during the conversation they initiated.

Hang out with them…… You should never be too busy for your children, your time is very important to them, and their time should be very important to you. Have fun with them, let them play with you and see you in a happy mood with them showing them that you  love them,  it will make them feel special.

Speak to them positively…. Your children are sometimes face with difficult challenges as small as they are, they need your encouragement, they are amazing no matter what challenges you are facing with them. Tell them how brilliant and amazing they are when you do that, no one else can take that away from them.

When we train up our children well, with love we are training them to provide the same services for their families, this would leave to better societies, less single parent, less crime and a more loving community.
